About

I am a freelance artist living in Finland. Imperfections contrasts and different textures are interesting to me and I want that to show in my art. Since life itself is not perfect I think there is great beauty to be found in vulnerability and a kind of raw expression. That is also why I appreciate the Japanese artform Kintsugi or Kintsukuroi ”golden repair” where instead of disguising or hiding cracks and breakage objects are repaired with gold silver or platinum. Something broken or scarred can become beautiful.

I am inspired by many things. Music / fashion / fabrics / jewellery / literature / movies / nature / thoughts and emotions. Anything can spark my creativity or form a new idea. I remember from a very early age how my mind was constantly producing creative thoughts or different images. This has never stopped. That is why I now in my late forties decided to fully embrace this side of myself. I have set it aside for too long and for too many reasons in the past. Which ever method or medium I use I want to create something that is authentic and true to me. That is how I feel the result is my own unique work of art.
